Wow…I just read through the hate mail. That’s why I can not call myself a christian. That is sickening….sometimes quite funny (the pure ignorance of others)…but mostly very sad. I laughed when I read the opening page. I’m one of those few “coming out” people…coming out of religion that is. I appreciate your good sense and calm in responding to the crazy people.
Don’t let the ignorance of others stop you from calling yourself a Christian. If you are coming out of religion, I hope it’s because you have come to the decision that religion isn’t something that makes sense to you. I’m guessing that that is the case.
I agree that the hate mail I get is sad. The only consolation I have is that these people are the exception, not the rule. At least I hope they are.
