How prayer works
I am able to hold a conversation without always drifiting off topic. Let me know if you have anything about Christianity that you want to know.
Okay — if we can keep this on track, I can handle another conversation.
Assuming God is omnipotent and good, how does prayer work? (I’m talking about prayers in which you ask God for something, not prayers of thanks or general worship.)

Prayer is a unique combination of meditation, wishful thinking, simple greed, conscience-clearing and a desire for peace of mind. It’s all rolled into one! And it’s all quite selfish when you examine it.
