"And thou shalt burn the whole ram..." BURN. Burn means SET ON FIRE. But you're right. Killing animals doesn't count when it's for traditional sacrifice (saracasm). "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." "NOW GO". That sounds like an order to me.
"God made sure that there were no babies or pregnant women to be harmed." "Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up." (Hosea 13:16). THEIR WOMEN WITH CHILD SHALL BE RIPPED UP. But no, God wouldn't let them be harmed.

you are deliberately misstating the Bible and taking it out of context to make it look like there is evil where there is not. The quote you wrote is not about animals being set on fire but about traditional sacrifice. This is not setting an animal on fire unless cooking an animal is setting it on fire. The only animals set on fire alive in the Bible are the foxes Samson set on fire the tails so to burn the crops of his enemies, and God didn't order him to do that.

God NEVER would order someone to kill babies! Youa re quoting out of context. God is telilng Moses what will happen not ordering him to do something. It is a prophecy. God does not approve of killing children. Even when Sodom was destroyed, the flood, and the killing of Egypt's first born, God made sure that there were no babies or pregnant women to be harmed.
