Evil atheists

From the IAmAnAtheist.com feedback form:

Hey wait a minute! You are kicking me out of the atheist club?????

I’m an *evil* atheist, I don’t want to be good, and as there are no imaginary gawds that will set me on fire after I die, I don’t have to be.

To me, an evil person is someone who harms others for pleasure or maliciously harms others for personal gain. An evil atheist is not allowed in the moral atheist “club,” but atheists in general can certainly be evil.

If you are evil as defined above, then I’d say that moral people — both atheist and theist — may be justified in suppressing, restraining, imprisoning, and/or killing you, depending on the extent of your evil and specific circumstances. I agree that nothing happens after you are dead, but if you are evil it will likely be to the benefit of the rest of society if you reach that nothingness as soon as possible. I suggest changing your ways or choosing a highly risky profession or hobby.

What about masochists who are born with a design to achieve sexual gratification by harming others? You are saying that these people deserve to die? That’s nothing they have control over but you are labeling them as evil. Is there any difference in saying that homosexuals marm others by having unnatural sex so they are also evil and deserve to die? You missed by a long shot here by trying to sound clever at the expense of your own argument. The original poster is right. Without religion there is no way to determining that anyone is evil and you can’t judge them.

I basically learned about a majority of this, but in spite of this, I still assumed it had been valuable. Sweet job!
